Especially for the early birds that already want some orientation - Here is the "official" map for the meeting. We will be continually adding to this. So far we've added points of interest, hotels and where will be eating.
Here is the planned schedule for the excursions.
All "destinations" will take ~3 hours and be within Vienna, so you will have the possibility to re-visit your favorite place afterwards for extended shooting... ;-)
Day 1 (Thu, 04 Aug 2011): A guided Vienna city tour by Bus + a visit of Schoenbrunn palace:
http://www.schoenbrunn.at/en/international.html
http://www.austria-360.at/wien/schoenbrunn/index.html
Estimated costs: ~EUR 28 for the tour and Schoenbrunn entry
Please check Excursion 1 on your attendees account page!
In the evening we will visit a "Heuriger" in Grinzing (it is very easy to reach by tramway No. 38)
http://www.bach-hengl.at
Day 2 (Fri, 05 Aug 2011): A cruise on the Danube and Danube Canal:
http://www.ddsg-blue-danube.at/english/html/e_lwien_fp1_plan.asp
Estimated costs: ~EUR 20 for the tour
Please check Excursion 2 on your attendees account page!
Afterwards we will offer the option to visit the "3rd man" tour. As this may not be suitable for everybody and because we cannot make a dedicated reservation (see blog post: http://www.panotools-meeting.com/node/70 ), i'd ask for an extra confirmation of people who are interested.
I'll finalize the reservations end of week, so please revise your excursion
status on the Meeting website.
For the "3rd man tour", please simply contact Bernhard
directly.
Looking forward to see you in Vienna!
Bernhard and the organization team
