The PanoTools Meeting 2012 will take place in in the:
2512ER Den Haag
GPS: 52.073914, 4.306441
This atmospheric building is a former monastery, located right in the center of the city. We will be using the meeting room in the complex and we'll have access to the garden where we can have a coffee between talks.
Unfortunately the meeting is fully booked since 30 May 2012. If you're interested in attending the meeting please post a comment at http://www.panotools-meeting.com/node/171 to place your name on the reserve list. If there's a cancellation we'll add people from the reserve list on a first come first serve basis.
Get to Den Haag by train:
Den Haag has two 'main' train stations: Den Haag Centraal and Den Haag Hollands Spoor (HS). A train to either of these stations will do, both are about 1.5 km from the meeting location and Ibis hotel. Centraal is most convenient since there are direct trams to the Brouwersgracht.
Here a reminder about how to get easy and comfortable and cheap from e.g. any place in Germany to Den Haag by train. Here an example Munich -Den Haag with Intercity Express is only 39€ no hidden booking- luggage- fuel- service- or credit card fees ;-)
BUT you have to book early, The earliest date is 3 months prior to your travel so mark in your electronic agenda the 9th of June for making your reservation. Then you can be sure to get this price. At http://www.bahn.de click on the blue tile "Sparpreisfinder" and then in the now visible link " Start oder Ziel ausserhalb Deutschlands" then you get conveniently ALL trains and all available prices for your desired date of travel. Parking in Den Haag when traveling by car:
Hotel IBIS has no parking places. There are several parking places close by the hotel but they are payed and expensive (30 euro per day).
One of them is located within 100 m from hotel IBIS:
2512 GM Den Haag
The meeting venue has few parking places but they are occupied by users of neighbouring facilities.
Parking in the streets inside the payed zone of the centre is very expensive so it is best to park your car outside the payed zone and travel from there by tram or bus to the centre of Den Haag.
This map shows you the paid zone of the centre of Den Haag.
A good alternative is to park your car free of charge just outside Den Haag on the Transferium (P&R) Hoornwijck, then take the shuttle bus into the city. See P+R Hoornwijck in Ypenburg.
You can find more info about parking options on the website of the Municipality of Den Haag.
Get to Den Haag by plane:
You can either fly to Amsterdam (Schiphol) airport, or to Rotterdam / The Hague airport. From Schiphol several trains per hour go directly to Den Haag Centraal station.
Rotterdam / The Hague airport is a small and convenient airport with connections to a.o. Vienna, Prague and Rome (see www.transavia.com). The airport is actually located in Rotterdam, not Den Haag, and getting to Den Haag is slightly complicated since you first need to take a bus to Rotterdam.
For a group booking we have selected hotel IBIS, this hotel is close by at approx. 400 meter from the meeting venue.
