With a few dozens of screenshots I will show the steps that are needed to process the images taken with a single camera with PTGui to a left and right eye equirectangular, how to convert the equirectangulars with StereoPhotoMaker to anaglyph, how to save the cube faces (converted from the anaglyph) with CubicConverter (or any other conversion software) and how to resave the cube faces with IrFanView in a special image format to avoid ghosting when viewing the panorama made from the cube faces.
I will also show some photo's of the setup and the resulting 3D panorama as anaglyph with a projector, as interlaced panorama on a 3D monitor (thanks to Bernhard Vogl who will provide this option) and as side-by-side 3D panorama with gyro navigation on iPhone4 (thanks to Thomas Rauscher for making the special 3D javascript).
To understand my talk you need to have knowledge how to use PTGui (how to optimize a project, how to use the advanced options and how to use the mask options).
If you are not familiar with PTGui then perhaps you can implement my method in your stitcher but then you have to find your own workflow.

Hello attendees of the PTM 2011,
This is a follow up to my talk about making 3D panos, I think it will make things more clear and free up some memory.
I have posted a tutorial with approx. the same info as my talk on the Nodal Ninja Forum:

(you don't have to register the Nodal Ninja forum to read the tuto)

About the software I have used to make the 3D pano for my talk:
---------------------------------------
PTGui Pro 9 (for stitching, Windows+OSX, not free)
http://www.ptgui.com
Adobe Photoshop (for making masks, Windows+OSX, not free)
StereoPhoto Maker (for making anaglyphs, Windows only, free)
http://stereo.jpn.org/eng/stphmkr
IrFanView (for making special ghostfree JPEGs, Windows only, free)
http://www.irfanview.com
Wine and Winebotler (for running StereoPhoto Maker and IrFanView on OSX, free)
http://winebottler.kronenberg.org
CubicConverter (for making cube faces, OSX only, not free)

Keep in mind that only iPhone 4 and iPod 4 have the gyros needed for rotating the pano by turning the 3D viewer.
With other iPhones you have to turn the pano with a finger using the -left- hole at the bottom of the viewer (the right pano is not active).
Thomas Rauscher made a special Javascript (pano2vrgyro3d.js) for display of the side-by-side panos on iPhones.
Contact Thomas if you like to know more about the script.
Tip: take a peek inside the html source code and xml code of one of my 3D side-by-side panos to see how I embed the left and right pano.
I prefer iCab Mobile for iPhone for fullscreen showing of 3D side-by-side panos, the app (not free) is available in the iApp store.
The Hasbro my3D viewer for iPhone is not yet available outside the US but ThinkGeek.com is selling the viewer to EU countries.

About 3D interlaced panos:
---------------------------------------
This is the 3D interlaced pano I made for my talk,
http://tinyurl.com/3qpstdt
For making interlaced Pano2VR panos you need Erik Leeman's Flash preloader.
Contact Erik if you like to know more about his preloader.
http://www.erikleeman.com
For viewing interlaced panos you need a 3D interlaced monitor and polarized glasses.
Contact Bernhard Vogl if you like to know more about interlaced 3D monitors or the making of interlaced 3D panos.
